Hey there! My name is AJ Kourabi.

I am a final-year Engineering Physics Student at McMaster University. I am mostly up to three things, and my Engineering Portfolio is linked here.

Research Assistant modeling Germanium implantation on Silicon substrates, aiming to implement more efficient silicon optoelectronics
Running a $10k microgrant program funding student-side projects, which I started last year
Sr Solar Power Specialist at McMaster Interdisciplinary Satellite Team -- figuring out how to utilise Solar cells to power a CubeSat in space. Learning a ton.

previously :

I interned at Schmidt Futures last summer, where I overhauled the internal impact tracking and goal-setting processes and co-led a grant to a DARPA pre-commercial research program. I also worked on several confidential AI projects during the fall.

I was an intern at Convergent Research, following research leads, working on internal tools, and creating writings for internal and public audiences. See some of my writings on neurotech here, and on FROs here.
